Collection: Dirty Down

Dirty Down makes ageing and special effects products trusted by film, TV and theatre prop, costume and set departments. Make new props, costumes and sets look aged, dirty, rusty, mouldy, frosted or gory in minutes, with easy, water-soluble products you can build up, blend and rework.

Ageing Sprays

Semi-transparent, fast-drying spray dyes in 400ml cans. Build up fine coats for subtle dirt, or go heavier for real grime, then smear or soften with water. Mix colours for more natural results: Soot Black, Black, Dark Brown, Mid Brown, Ash Blonde, Grey, Khaki, Mould, Nicotine Yellow and Rust.

Specialist Sprays

Dulling / Anti-Flare Spray takes the shine off glass, metal and gloss paint to stop glare on camera. Frost / Snow Spray adds realistic frost and snow to windows, props, sets and Christmas displays.

Water Soluble Effect Paints

High matt paints for brush or airbrush that dry in minutes and can be toned back with water: Rust, Yellow Rust, Verdigris and Moss. Best on rough, textured surfaces.

SFX Snot & Gore

Snot and Gore create realistic strands straight from the pot for props and models. Use Dirty Down Thinner for a runnier finish or to revive product that has started to dry.

Please note: Dirty Down aerosol sprays can't be shipped to Northern Ireland or the Scottish Highlands. Always test on an off-cut or hidden area first, as some products can stain.
