A4 Marine Grade Stainless Steel Wood Screws
When screws have to survive salt air, rain and constant moisture, choose Timco Classic A4 stainless steel wood screws. Made from A4 (316) marine-grade stainless steel, they offer the highest level of corrosion resistance in our wood screw range.
The double countersunk Pozi head sits flush and grips the bit firmly, so there's less slipping and a neat finish that won't streak or stain over time.

FAQs
What does marine grade stainless steel mean?
Marine grade refers to A4 (316) stainless steel. It contains molybdenum, which gives it much better resistance to salt water and chlorine than standard A2 (304) stainless.
Do I need A4 screws for my project?
Choose A4 if you're within a few miles of the coast, working around pools or hot tubs, or fixing into timber that stays wet. For most gardens and general outdoor jobs, A2 stainless is enough.
Do I need to pre-drill?
Stainless steel is softer than hardened carbon steel, so pre-drilling a pilot hole is recommended in hardwoods to avoid snapping the screw or splitting the timber.
