Timco Blue Plastic Wall Plugs – 10.5 x 48mm

Timco blue plastic wall plugs are reliable, general-purpose plugs for fixing screws into concrete, brick and block walls. Each pack contains 40 plugs, ideal for light and medium-duty jobs around the home, on site or in the workshop.

Blue plugs (10.5 x 48mm) take 6.0 – 8.0mm screws (No. 12 – 15 gauge), making them ideal for larger brackets and fixings that use bigger screws.

Drill a 10mm hole at least 55mm deep. The plugs come on handy sprigs of 10, so they're easy to snap off one at a time.

FAQs

What screws fit blue wall plugs?

Blue plugs fit screws from 6.0 – 8.0mm diameter, which is No. 12 – 15 gauge in imperial sizes.

What size drill bit do I need for blue wall plugs?

Use a 10mm masonry drill bit and drill at least 55mm deep. In softer materials, a slightly smaller bit can give a tighter grip.

Can I use these plugs in plasterboard?

No. These plugs are designed for solid walls such as concrete, brick and block. For plasterboard, use a dedicated plasterboard fixing.

How do I fit a wall plug?

Drill a 10mm hole at least 55mm deep, clean out the dust, push or tap the plug in until it sits flush with the wall, then drive the screw through your fixture into the plug.

What do the wall plug colours mean?

The colours show the size: yellow is the smallest, then red, brown and blue for the largest. Each colour is matched to a range of screw sizes, so you can pick the right plug quickly.
