Timco Brown Plastic Wall Plugs – 9.0 x 36mm
Timco brown plastic wall plugs are reliable, general-purpose plugs for fixing screws into concrete, brick and block walls. Each pack contains 100 plugs, ideal for light and medium-duty jobs around the home, on site or in the workshop.
Brown plugs (9.0 x 36mm) take 4.0 – 6.0mm screws (No. 8 – 12 gauge), making them ideal for medium-duty fixings with larger screws, such as heavier shelf brackets, coat racks, garden trellis and outdoor fittings.
Drill a 7mm hole at least 45mm deep. The plugs come on handy sprigs of 10, so they're easy to snap off one at a time.

FAQs
What screws fit brown wall plugs?
Brown plugs fit screws from 4.0 – 6.0mm diameter, which is No. 8 – 12 gauge in imperial sizes.
What size drill bit do I need for brown wall plugs?
Use a 7mm masonry drill bit and drill at least 45mm deep. In softer materials, a slightly smaller bit can give a tighter grip.
Can I use these plugs in plasterboard?
No. These plugs are designed for solid walls such as concrete, brick and block. For plasterboard, use a dedicated plasterboard fixing.
How do I fit a wall plug?
Drill a 7mm hole at least 45mm deep, clean out the dust, push or tap the plug in until it sits flush with the wall, then drive the screw through your fixture into the plug.
What do the wall plug colours mean?
The colours show the size: yellow is the smallest, then red, brown and blue for the largest. Each colour is matched to a range of screw sizes, so you can pick the right plug quickly.
